Vijay Sethupathy's way of using pun in his dialogue took the heat of the media required for the movie to a different level. I felt that they cornered the media into too much of negative side which is slightly cinematic from reality. Especially, TR's role in the movie is mind blowing.

To counter this, Kalyan telecasts a video of Kalpana in which she is portrayed as a mentally challenged woman. Enraged Thilak tries to expose Kalyan in a chat show. A fight ensues between Dheeran and Thilak. He is fired from the company along with Malar, Jagan, and two other colleagues.

Since they all have been blacklisted from all major media houses, they start working for a very small time struggling media house Muthamizh which is run by Mayilvaganan. Kalpana and Abdul share their story also on the channel. Thilak, Malar, and Mayilvaganan are also framed as co-conspirators. Mutahmizh is banned by the central government. Later, Thilak manages to make the video in which it is proven that they are innocent. Kavan has been directed by K. Anand who has successfully projected the characters in true lights.
